Philbert’s decade and a half in financial services and strategy facilitates a wide range of opportunities in credit-related investments. Before joining Arena, he was managing director for ShoreVest Partners, where he oversaw sourcing and execution of special situations and NPL opportunities and drove the creation of co-investment partnerships with a variety of sovereign wealth funds. Before that, he was director of strategic investments for China Vanke, one of China’s largest developers. Philbert started his career with Boston Consulting Group.

Philbert earned a BA in public policy from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also holds a Certificate in ESG Investing issued by the CFA Institute.
